Blog Entry #2. Chicken Fun-damentals

Image
With the prices of eggs rising a growing number of families have decided on starting their own backyard chicken coops. While many more would join them to many are scared of the idea, viewing it as being to complicated or time consuming. Despite these fears, maintaining chickens is relatively low  maintenance, requiring the same, if not less, attention than a family dog. Blogs offer the opportunity to communicate information in a more relaxed or informal way as opposed to an essay, for this reason I believe blogs to be a far superior method of delivering information or building a community than essay writing.      One blog which rightfully caught my attention was the casual professional blog, "Eat Yourself Skinny," which focuses on teaching people healthy yet tasty recipes which are easy to prepare. This author, through the use of step-by-step instructions, creative recipes and a personal yet professional relationship with her audience manages to make weight loss, something which is intimidating too many people, appear s...
